IAT Awarded Expanded QATT Designation from DHS for Additional RTIS Products

The US Department of Homeland Security has expanded the Qualified Anti-Terrorism Technology (QATT) Designation Status awarded to IAT to include an expanded set of IAT products.  The following products are part of the Radiation Threat Identification System (RTIS) platform and are now covered under the US Safety Act.

After thoroughly reviewing the analysis of the Office of SAFETY Act Implementation relating to this application and the Technology, the US Department of Homeland Security determined that an amendment to the Certificate of SAFETY Act Designation issued to Innovative American Technology, Inc., on May 9,2008, is warranted. Accordingly, the Certificate of SAFETY Act Designation (as defined in Section 25.6(1) of the Regulations) was amended for the Technology issued to Innovative American Technology Inc., on May 9,2008, by amending Exhibit A and issuing this First Amended Certificate of SAFETY Act Designation to Innovative American Technology, Inc. (the "Seller").

This language below describes the Amended Certificate of Designation and replaces in its entirety and supersedes the corresponding SAFETY Act Designation issued May 9,2008, to Innovative American Technology.

Innovative American Technology, Inc., provides the Radiation Threat Identification System (RTIS, the "Technology"). The Technology is a system designed to scan cargo and detect gamma, neutron, and X-ray radiation. Several different configurations for the system make use of the same core technology.

Spreader Bar Radiation Verification System (SBRVS) - The SBRVS is a special variant of the RTIS that is constructed for mounting specifically on a spreader bar gantry.

Horizontal Array Radiation Verification System (HARVS) - The HARVS packages the RTIS platform as a horizontal array that can  either be fixed or portable.

Mobile Radiation Verification System (MRVS) - This variant of the RTIS is designed to fit in a marine environment with marine servers and special packaging for salt water. It can also be used as a land-based portable unit tailored for deployment in a truck, van or suv.

Straddle Carrier Radiation Verification System (SCRVS) - The SCRVS is a variant of the RTIS intended to be used with a straddle carrier while still maintaining the standard functionality of the underlying platform.

All variations of the Technology can identify, through the use of proprietary software, the particular isotope source through analysis of the radiation, and distinguish it from naturally occurring radiological material. As seen in the above variations, the Technology can be mounted in a number of ways depending on customer needs, and since it is a solid-state device, it can also be modified to operate in harsh environments. The Technology also includes the following support services: networking consulting, site planning and system integration, software upgrades, configuration, installation, maintenance, and all associated manuals.
