Cargotec Launches World-wide Sales Campaign for Radiation
Detection Applications
Published: 30 September 2008
Cargotec Port Security has launched a world-wide sales
campaign for IAT enabled products including the Spreader Bar
Radiation Verification System (SBRVS) and the Shuttle Carrier
Radiation Verification System (SCRVS). In preparation for the
Terminal Operators Conference (TOC) to be held in Long Beach
California beginning on November 18th, Cargotec has completed
interviews with all of the major cargo industry magazines. Major
articles including cover stories are scheduled for the October
and November issues.
Cargotec will participate in multiple panel discussions at
the TOC Conference to inform the industry of our recent
successful testing at multiple government facilities and the
SBRVS and SCRVS readiness for the market. The SBRVS and SCRVS provide for
100% inspection of cargo containers for radiological materials
without impacting the flow of commerce. The real benefit to the
Terminal Operators and Port Authorities is the verification of
the containers in the normal flow of container movement through
the port to maintain high productivity levels.
IAT and Cargotec are now evaluating additional
radiation threat identification system (RTIS) applications
applied to Cargotec equipment to support Ship to Rail and other
important cargo security applications.
