Release 3.0 Radiation Threat Identification System (RTIS) to be Unveiled at ORNL this Summer

Innovative American Technology (IAT) and Cargotec Port Security will unveil the new Release 3.0 Spreader Bar Radiation Verification System (SBRVS) this summer with planned testing and demonstrations at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory. The Release 3.0 SBRVS incorporates new features and advanced gamma detection capabilities designed to meet the strict US Department of Homeland Security container inspection requirements.

Cargotec Port Security and IAT are prepared for volume production of the release 3.0 SBRVS in support of both foreign and domestic deployments. The Release 3.0 SBRVS is presented as an effective solution for container inspection during the normal flow of commerce.

The SBRVS is part of the Radiation Threat Identification System (RTIS) family of products to be offered in support of a comprehensive port security system.

The RTIS family of products include: the Spreader Bar Radiation Verification System (SBRVS), the Straddle Carrier Radiation Verification System (SCRVS) and the Mobile Radiation Verification System (MRVS) were all originally designed and tested using the IAT neutron detector. The RTIS products are ready for deployment and are the only cargo inspection systems capable of meeting the new requirements for helium-3 replacement.

The RTIS system and family of products have been recognized as Qualified Anti-Terrorist Technologies (QATT) with "Safety Act Designation Status" provided by the Department of Homeland Security.
