IEMS Chem/Bio Systems for Homeland Security

The Infrared Electro-mechanical Microcantilever System (IEMS) is a chemical and biological sensor that was originally acquired by IAT from the Oak Ridge National Laboratory. The IEMS provides femtogram level sensitivity, rapid <1 minute test cycles, no consumables and is self-cleaning.

The IEMS can simultaneously search for multiple targets such as anthrax, ricin, and others. The IEMS enables rapid analysis, a zero cost per test cycle, continuous and autonomous operation. New biological or chemical targets can be quickly added via software upgrade.
