IAT Neutron Detector Module                                                      Request Quote

The IAT Neutron Detector Module (NDM) provides exceptional neutron efficiency and gamma rejection. The NDM can be configured for a variety of sizes, shapes and performance criteria to address a broad range of applications. Current applications include:

Neutron Detector Modules to replace one or more Helium-3 tubes in a Radiation Portal Monitor

Neutron Detector Modules for Mobile Applications

Neutron Detector Modules for Backpack Applications

The IAT neutron detector systems meet or exceed ANSI 42.35 and ANSI 42.38 standards for neutron detection.

The IAT NDM is coupled with the IAT Sensor Electronics Module (SEM) providing high speed digital signal processing, analog to digital signal conversion, highly effective gamma rejection algorithms, temperature compensation for detector stablity across -40C to +60C, digital sensor controls, integrated high voltage supply, various data delivery protocols and digital network access.

The SEM creates a digital sensor network connecting one or more NDMs and forming a neutron detector array. Neutron detector data can be viewed from each individual NDM or the data can be combined across a virtual NDM group.

The neutron detector system shown above is one of the IAT neutron detector designs that can be applied to a DHS Radiation Portal Monitor (RPM).

This system is based on two 5"x 60" IAT proprietary neutron detctor modules positioned side-by-side.

The IAT NDM systems for a DHS RPM can be configured to support a variety of neutron efficiencies from 2.7 cps to greater than 4.0 cps
